Who is POD?

We are universalists and work in a collaborative environment using a process-based design approach.  We believe design is a comprehensive development for every aspect of a project from business plans to brand identity to material research, product development and fabrication.  We constantly research new methods of construction from laser cutting to 3D printing.

POD pursues both conceptual projects and built work with a particular interest in exploring relationships between functional performance and architecture.  This methodology allows the architecture to be a vehicle for incorporating a highly articulated relationship between use and lifestyle.  The commitment to the integration of new technologies and materials is mirrored in the infrastructure of our office.  Both in the development of projects and in the production of documents, performance based architecture inform and facilitate our work.  The office, headed by Brooks Atwood and Clay Odom, has a broad range of experience in architecture & design, interiors, graphics and identity, furniture, film and fashion.  The office is run in a collaborative, think-tank environment which enables us to work in an efficient and effective manor for superior results for clients with a commitment to excellence in design and its procurement.  We have developed a strong set of relationships with expert consultants and specialists in various fields of fabrication and construction to enable us to consider a varied range of specialized projects.  Since 2003, POD DESIGN+MEDIA have developed a client list including Imaginary Forces, BMW, Gucci, Luca Luca, Michael Joo and the Center for Hearing and Communication.
