The Texas based office of POD, POD DESIGN COLLABORATIVE is featured in the April Issue of the Advocate Magazine (www.advocatemag.com) for the Spring Design Issue. POD collaborated with Molly Magill of MOMOFANDANGO (www.momofandango.com) on the design of concepts focusing on three traditional ‘design dilemmas’ that were presented by the magazine. The design response focused specifically on rethinking standard, readily available materials, and how they can be reworked to create affordable and non-typical responses to everyday conditions of ‘WALL’, ‘TABLE’ and ‘MANTLE’. As with every project that we work on, the given design problem is not thought of as having a pre-existing solution, and this frees us as designers to think in new ways about even the most mundane situations. Cost and Situation are always key constraints in design, and by working collaboratively and being open to the power of limitations, the project bridges the worlds of interiors, textiles and buildings to create beautifully designed solutions that are affordable, chic, and novel.

Tonight! 7pm! Opening night of the new exhibit at [HUS] entitled "Organic Manhattan" by artist Ann Lindgren. [HUS] is a Scandinavian store that will change your life. It was designed by POD DESIGN to have flexible exhibitions from Scandinavian artists in the fields of art, fashion, furniture, film and music. [HUS] is located at 11 Christopher Street in New York City's West Village. The exhibit runs from February 27th-May 1st 2008
